Surviving or Thriving in the Pandemic

undefined Is the glass half full or empty for you today?

Does it really matter: you might ask. If so it may be a half empty day for you. That, however, is OK. I look at the age old question this way. If your glass is half empty, then you have been running on reserves instead of restocking. Draining your batteries instead of charging them. Drinking from your cup instead of filling it up. Now, when your cup is half full, you have been doing the opposite. Restocking, recharging and filling.

Sometimes it’s necessary to just survive. To get through another day. Call it in or fake it ’til you make it. Please, let me encourage you not to live there for long though. You see if your are in the half empty camp right now, be mindful that it doesn’t take long for that half full glass to empty. There is an incredible opportunity in this time for most of us. Search out those recharging stations and top off whenever possible.undefined

It is imperative that we be alert and not get caught up in the life draining rat race that will be coming back at us with a vengeance. Turn off the news. FFW through the political commercials. Choose wisely what you watch and listen to. Tune in to the things that restock, recharge and refills. Tune out and stay far away from the things that drain and deplete you emotionally, physically, relationally and economically. If it’s emptying your glass, as much as possible, don’t do it. At least until you are able to move back over into the half full camp. And when you do get back, help to restock, recharge and refill others.undefined This is where we move from survive to thrive.
